Wide Awake Festival have added eleven breakthrough and emerging artists to their Saturday line-up.
The additions to the bill include flourishing Australian rock band Amyl and The Sniffers. Making their UK debut with a raucous set at 2018’s The Great Escape, Amyl and The Sniffers have since released two rip-roaring albums that are ready to shake up Brockwell Park.
Not a rock fan? Also joining the line-up are the American new wave trio Nation Of Language. The springy synth-pop group are bringing a taste of the ’80s to 2022 with their critically acclaimed album ‘A Way Forward.’
Also joining the line up are fresh names Curses, Fergus Clark, Harry James, Marcus Harris, Nathan Gregory Wilkins, Pist Idiots, Tia Cousins, Trish K, and Veronica Vasicka.
These additions, among others, join Wide Awake’s already impressive Saturday line-up, headlined by Primal Scream and featuring confirmed sets from Yard Act, Fat White Family, and Floating Points.
The festival’s Friday line-up is equally bursting at the seams with talent, boasting Bicep, Caribou, PVA, and Working Men’s Club – and even more to be announced.
The two-day independent festival is due to take place at London’s Brockwell Park on the 27th and 28th of May, embracing a whole host of genres including Indie, Post Punk, Electronica, Techno, and Jazz. Wide Awake is also part of PRS Foundation’s Keychange, showcasing a line-up comprised of 50% women and underrepresented genders.
Tickets can be purchased from £35 on Wide Awake’s website. Wide Awake festival runs between May 27th – 28th.
